Serving as one of the three primary architects of the Women’s Business Ownership Act, passed by the U.S. Congress and signed by President Reagan in 1988.
Incubation in the late 2000s of WEConnect International, a group of Global 500 corporations interested in working with women-owned SMEs as suppliers.
Co-development of three global best practice conferences on women’s entrepreneurship for the OECD in Paris and Istanbul in 1997, 2000 and 2004, followed by OECD regional training for women entrepreneurs in the Mideast and North Africa in 2005 and 2006 in Istanbul.
Helping the International Trade Centre’s Women & Trade program in 2010 develop a ten-year initiative to get women-owned SMEs from developing countries into the global value chain. ITC is a joint agency of the UN and the World Trade Organization in Geneva.
Conceptualization of and initial incubation in 2000-2001 of the Global Banking Alliance for Women, a group of commercial banks interested in sharing best practices about working with the women-owned SME market.
Development and rollout of the Roadmap to 2020 and Beyond process to accelerate national development of women’s entrepreneurship from 2010 to the present in the United States and India.
