Initiative 5 - Access to Markets
Improve Women’s Access to Corporate, Government and International Markets, and the Global Supply Chain
- Foster Policies, Programs and Practices. Work with partners to facilitate sourcing from certified Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs, firms that are 51% or more owned, managed and controlled by one or more women).
- Financing from Women Investors for WBEs. Develop a mechanism that will enable women angel investors and women’s venture capital funds to invest in certified WBEs, enabling them to grow while maintaining the 51% level of female ownership required by multinational corporations and many governments.
- Improve Women’s Export Competitiveness. Work with partners to build the capacity of women suppliers to successfully compete in the global supply chain. Also, encourage women entrepreneurs to become part of each other’s supply chains.
