Initiative 2 - Research, Data and Statistics
Build Global Knowledge about Women’s Enterprise Development
Work with partners with expertise in research and economics to promote the following:
- Build Global Research Capacity. Partner with research organizations on gender disaggregated data collection, international comparability, and the impact of research on evidence-based policymaking. Share best practices.
- University Partnerships. Encourage universities to have graduate students conduct formal research on women’s entrepreneurship development, and to endow an academic chair in this emerging field.
- ROI Metrics: Help to catalyze development of metrics that measure the social and economic Return on Investment from investing in women’s enterprise development. Use results to make the business, economic and development cases, and widely promote findings.
- Evaluation: Promote the evaluation of women’s enterprise development.
